When I graduated from college, I had high hopes of landing an awesome job in the city.
- It never crossed my mind that I’d have a difficult time finding something, however sure enough, I spent months applying for several jobs.
I started out optimistic, applying for positions well above my experience level, thinking I’d land the job based on personality plus charm, then however, I abruptly l earned that nobody was interested in a recent graduate love myself. I didn’t have the experience, plus looking back on it now, I laugh at how naive I was. I never had the opening to interview, plus I was never contacted at all, my standards abruptly lowered, plus I started applying for lower positions, desperate for an income. After months of applying to hundreds of jobs, I earned an text about an interview. I spent a lot of time preparing plus planning for it, and what I wasn’t expecting though, was my A/C to go out in my car on the way to the interview. I was dressed in dealer casual, trying not to sweat through my clothing. I rolled the windows down to recognize the cool breeze, however my hair ended up flying around plus sticking to my neck. I kept banging on the dashboard, trying to get the A/C to kick back on, but no matter how strenuous I hit, no cool air came through the car vents. All I could manage was some lukewarm air, then by the time I pulled into the parking lot, I had sweat stains under my arms plus my hair was damp from sweat. I looked love a upset wreck!
